  • We were looking for a staycation in a rural location where we could go with our young family and dog. Christopher's place ticked all the boxes.

A cute little cottage which is finished to the highest standard. There was more than enough space for my family and we loved the little cottage touches such as the wood burning fire. Rooms were spacious and we particularly liked the newly refurbished bathroom with the rainfall shower. All the little extras were really appreciated and we did not want for anything. From fresh coffee to dog water bowls, Christopher has thought of everything to make this a home away from home staycation.

The cottage is located no more than 30 mins away from Bath, Bradford Upon Avon, Frome and Lacock, all of which we managed to visited during our 4 night stay.

Christopher responds to queries promptly and his recommendations for local eateries were second to none.

Thanks Christopher for a lovely relaxing staycation, hope to stay in your beautiful cottage again in the future.

  • A wonderful cottage set in the outskirts of the town so very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is very spacious and was cleaned to a high standard. Lovely touches such as toiletries being provided make it that extra bit special. Some lovely pubs to eat out at but the kitchen is fully equipped if you decide to stay in. Thanks for such a great stay.

  • Christopher was so helpful and timely, sending us all information in good time and being there to help if needed. The cottage is located in the peaceful countryside, perfectly positioned for a short drive into the surrounding towns and villages, including the gorgeous Bradford-on-Avon and Bath. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed, including our morning coffee fix using the Nespresso machine! The little details really did count and we hope to stay again one day, as this was an overall great base for exploring.

  • We had a lovely stay at Ferne cottage. It was perfect for our trip; close to everything for a day visit out somewhere but far enough away that you had a relaxing and quiet environment at the end of the day. The house had everything we needed and the garden was great for our little boy. Christopher was great and very quick to get back to us to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area and looking for somewhere cosy and quiet to stay.

Chris is incredible. He was very accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions. He was also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The place was very clean, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. The cottage is located in a peaceful Hamlet and within easy reach of amenities. Chris provided great tips for places to visit and excellent walks. Will definitely be back!

  • The cottage is lovely - deceptively spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The new bathroom is particularly delightful. The location is great - very peaceful with countryside walks and far reaching views on the doorstep, whilst in east reach of local amenities. Communication with the host was excellent, particularly given that we had to reschedule our booking several times due to changing covid rules. Would definitely recommend.

  • My friend and I enjoyed a lovely last minute 3 night stay here.
The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was as stylish as the photos suggest. The only slight disappointment was that the fire wasn't laid and there wasn't enough wood left in the baskets for us to do it, so we headed straight out to a nearby garage to get some.
The beds are super comfy, lovely white fluffy towels, and the sofa and chairs are really comfy too.
Lots of cutlery and crockery in the kitchen and a big fridge/ freezer.
    A lovely place to stay!

Lovely quiet location, down a tarmac / sealed lane, to a small cluster of cottages. Close to Trowbridge for a wander, and there were plenty of places for us to cycle and walk the dog. A great little secluded gem. Excellent comms at all times with Chris. There was nothing that we missed or thought, I wish that was here.
    10 out of 10.
