Halloween has rolled around again and it’s bigger, better and scarier than ever! Explore the scarily good goings on in the City this year – from immersive ghost tours, to thrilling scare parks, there’s something spooky for everyone!

Bath Ghost Tours

Calling all horror-hungry visitors! Bath Ghost Tours is an immersive and thrilling Ghost Tour in Ye Olde Bath town which offers a different, after-dark experience of the beautiful City we all know and love…

Discover tales of murder, witch burnings, mediaeval monks, duels, tortures and much more. The ghost tours are suitable for the whole family – you can even bring your four-legged friends along! The tour is a unique blend of grisly story-telling, theatre, historical events, audience participation and even a paranormal experiment!

 

When: 7 days a week throughout October, starts at 8pm

Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein

Spanning over three atmospheric floors, Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein blurs the line between a museum and an immersive guest experience to offer a unique day out that you won’t forget any time soon!

American Trick or Treat

Get into the spooky spirit and enjoy an all-American day out at the American Museum & Gardens this Halloween. Run around a Halloween themed trail in the Autumnal gardens, explore the potion trail in the decorated manor house and tuck into some seasonal treats at the American Garden Deli.

 

When: 21st – 29th October, 10:00am – 5:00pm

Pumpkin Picking Patch

Nothing says Halloween like a pumpkin picking competition! There are loads of pumpkin patches dotted around the City but our top pick (see what we did there?) would have to be Newton Farm’s Pumpkin Patch! Choose your Halloween Pumpkins and then head into the Farm Shop Cafe and cosy up with a hot chocolate and some hearty food!

Spooky Stargazing

Come and visit the house where William Herschel, using a telescope of his own design, discovered the planet Uranus in 1781! Celebrate Halloween in style and learn of the myths and legends surrounding the Halloween sky as well as learning about the moon itself! If the sky is clear enough, telescopes will be provided to observe the night sky and some spooky ‘Bath Astronomers’ will be on hand to chat about the stars and planets that fill the Autumn skies!

Spook-tacular fun at the Holburne

Halloween at the Holburne is back by popular demand and is bigger and better than ever! This year you can experience UV face painting, light performance in the museum gardens, halloween gallery trail and even special entry to the special UV glow zone! Make sure you come wearing your best costumes as there will be a fancy dress competition with prizes to be won. 

 

When: October 27th, 5:00pm – 9:00pm

FEAR (16+) at Avon Valley

Voted the UK’s best scare park for two years running, Avon Valley FEAR returns for another year of terror. Bingo Lingo at KOMEDIA

Experience this unique take on a bingo night as you play a fast-paced game of bingo in a lively club environment competing for a range of wacky and amazing prizes! Prepare yourself for a confetti-filled night of dance-offs, on-stage shenanigans and joke prizes at this truly unmissable night.

House of Frankenstein After Dark & Escape Room

After a sell-out in 2022, After Dark is returning with a new, terrifying theme and more thrilling attractions. Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein will be opening its doors after dark for a multi-sensory fright-filled night of horror in the 300-year old townhouse! It is advised that this event is not suitable for anyone under 15 years old.  

The Escape Rooms are are also open until late. Grab a group of friends and tackle the puzzle-based games to win your freedom! Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
