Easter Egg-citement in Bath

Two weeks is  a long time to keep the little ones entertained… So why not plan a City Break to Bath! There’s a whole host of events and activities taking place over the Easter holidays that you won’t want to miss! From giant Easter egg hunts in the Cheddar Gorge Caves, to Basket weaving at No.1 Royal Crescent, to theatre Royal shows about the Tiger Who Came to Tea… There’s something for the whole family in Bath this Spring!

The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Theatre Royal

We’ve got the purrr-fect treat for the whole Family this Easter! On the 9th and 10th of April, you can enjoy magic, sing-along songs and teatime chaos as you join Sophie and her Mum on stage when a big, stripy Tiger comes to tea! Head to the prestigious Theatre Royal and enjoy this musical play adapted and directed by David Wood based on the book by Judith Kerr.

Mark Thompson’s Spectacular Science Show at Komedia

Who said Science was boring? Designed for children and adults alike, this is Science like you’ve never seen before! Marvel at exploding elephant toothpaste and explore the strange and magical matter of vortex-generating dustbins in Mark Thompson’s spectacular, immersive and educational Science show!

Late Nights at The Roman Baths

Soak up the atmosphere and discover amazing artefacts and heritage as you venture through the torch-lit Roman Baths during Easter Lates! From the 7th – 10th April, The Roman Baths will be welcoming guests to stay until 8pm (last entry 7pm) to enjoy a pop-up bar serving prosecco, snacks and yummy hot chocolate!

Alice in Wonderland Eggstravaganza at Longleat

Enjoy a world of wonder this Easter as you step into the topsy-turvy, upside down world of Alice in Wonderland. Join Alice, The White Rabbit and The Queen of Hearts in this immersive experience full of twists and turns. Sit down for tea with the Mad Hatter himself, and keep an eye out for Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee who are waiting to impress you with their fun and nonsense! Activities along the way include thought-provoking riddles and egg-cellent Easter Egg hunts… don’t be late for this very important date and book your tickets now!

Basket Weaving at No.1 Royal Crescent

Enjoy a heritage arts & crafts activity in an authentic Georgian setting at No. 1 Royal Crescent this Easter. Learn how to weave with colourful ribbon and wool and take home a beautiful woven basket ready to store all of your Easter Eggs.

Easter Wreath Workshop at Lucknam Park 

A wreath isn’t just for Christmas! Get ready to welcome Spring with an Easter Wreath making workshop at Lucknam Park.With guidance from an expert florist, you can create your own fresh and bright Easter Wreath to take home with you. 

The workshop is £95pp and includes: 

  • Tea & Coffee on arrival

Pottery Painting at Crockadoodledo

Make sure you pay a visit to this charming little pottery studio in Larkhall which has some lovely little keepsakes waiting to be personalised. Prices are £5 per person which covers materials and finishing. Prices of the items range from £4.50-£40. It’s a great day out for the kids and will allow them to showcase their creativity by creating something unique to bring home from your Easter trip to Bath. 

Please note that the pottery studio will be moving to Lambridge buildings on 8th May.

 

EASTER EGG HUNTS & TRAILS

Easter Egg-citement at The American Museum 

Head to the American Museum and Gardens this Easter to experience an outdoor trail of excitement! You can expect arts & crafts, storytelling, face painting and much more all-American fun! There’s also an egg-cellent Easter trail where you can hunt for colourful egg installations through the gardens and answer the quiz questions at each egg station to complete the trail and win a chocolate treat! It’s going to be a very hoppy Easter!

Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Cheddar Gorge 

The Easter Bunny has made an egg-stra special visit to Cheddar Gorge and Caves this year and has left 50 giant, glow in the dark Easter eggs waiting to be found. Collect a trail map and head into Gough’s cave to find all of the eggs and win a prize… see if you can find the magic Golden Egg too! There will also be some egg-citing arts and crafts activities happening in the Education Room for you to make some Easter goodies to bring home with you.
