Family Friendly Fun in Bath!
With half-term well and truly upon us, we have constructed a list of our favourite family-friendly days out and restaurants to help you maximise your time during your stay. Take a look below at all of the exciting opportunities that await you in Bath!
DAYS OUT
American Museum and Gardens
The American Museum takes you on a journey through the periods of American history. It has an extensive collection of decorative arts and cultural objects and showcases a complex nature of American traditions. It is the only museum of its kind to exist outside of America, making it a must-see during your visit to Bath.
The gardens are some of the most scenic around with a brilliant play area to let kids run off their energy.
Crockadoodledo
Make sure you pay a visit to this charming little pottery studio in Larkhall which has some lovely little keepsakes waiting to be personalised. Prices are £5 per person which covers materials and finishing. Prices of the items range from £4.50-£40. It’s a great day out for the kids and will allow them to showcase their creativity by creating something unique to bring home from your trip to Bath.
The Roman Baths
Your trip to Bath wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the namesake Roman Baths – one of the best-preserved examples of Roman remains outside of Rome. With audio-guides for kids and fun activities along the way, it’s a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Longleat Safari Park
Located about a 30-minute drive from Bath is the UK’s No.1 Safari Park, Longleat! Discover a diverse range of species of animals from around the world such as lions, tigers, wolves, koalas, porcupines and sea lions. Get a closer look at the action in the immersive drive-through safari experience – hopefully the monkeys don’t steal your windscreen wipers!
Pre-booking is essential to guarantee entry to the park.
House of Frankenstein
This attraction blurs the line between a museum and an immersive guest experience. Spanning over three atmospheric floors, it offers a unique day out that you won’t forget any time soon. The website advises visitors to make good judgement on whether it will be suitable for young children.
This venue also has an escape room which features a puzzle-based game suitable for families, groups and friends. Engage your brain and put yourselves to the test, can you escape?
